Around the villa there is a lovely garden where most of the area is covered with tiles to make it as maintenance free as possible. The center of the garden is a 10-meter-long pool, which is deep in the middle and low at the ends. In the rest of the garden there are lots of palm trees, an orange tree, lemon tree, fig tree and a 500-year-old olive tree as well as herb garden and automatic watering. One thing that is worth highlighting by the villa’s terrace area is without a doubt the large outdoor kitchen, which consists of stove with 4 gas burners and oven, Weber gas grill, sink and refrigerator – everything you need in a kitchen. In addition, there is a wall around the whole plot, which in some places is elevated extra for more privacy.

From the villa there are the most beautiful views of Alicante, as well as mountain and sea views. The property is located in the attractive area near the Plaza Mayor, from where there is access to supermarkets, restaurants, banks, bars, shops, public transport, parks, etc. within walking distance. The beautiful sandy beaches, Los Arenales and Carabassi are just 25 minutes away on foot or 5 minutes by car. There is also ample opportunity to take the bike or the small shuttle train that runs daily from the city center to the beach.

Since the first development began at Gran Alacant, over 25 new urbanizations have followed. Today you will find houses with great views of the sea in the upper section, while the flatter lower area offers easy access to the beach and local amenities. There is something to suit most budgets, from villas to town houses – with a conspicuous lack of high rises.

All your retail needs are catered for thanks to the excellent shopping center and all the usual supermarkets. Gran Alacant also has its own town hall, post office, police station, hairdressers and a weekly market where you can pick up locally produced, organic produce. The reliable, high speed internet here is better than in some parts of nearby Alicante.

Alicante airport and train station close by, you are well connected in Gran Alacant. Closer to home there is a reliable bus service to surrounding towns, as well as a more local tourist bus delivering you to and from the beach.

The town has its own public health center, along with a dentist and pharmacy. If you need to access emergency assistance there’s a 24-hour Urgencia (Accident and Emergency) in neighboring Santa Pola and a hospital in Elche.

It is possible to live within a modest budget in Gran Alacant, thanks to the range of supermarkets and reasonably priced amenities. The local market also offers great value, particularly if you are willing to haggle!
